Ugar Carbonic Private limited, a Company registered under The Companies Act, 1956 established in the year 1992 has a manufacturing facility at Ugarkhurd in Belgaum District of Karnataka State for the purification and bottling of Liquid Carbon Dioxide, of Industrial grade quality, in high pressure seamless Gas Cylinders.

The main feedstock for this manufacturing facility is the Carbon Dioxide generated as a bye product of the Distillery of M/s. The Ugar Sugar Works limited. Highly energy efficient, modern three stage gas compressors are used in the bottling facility. An imported Dryer is installed to remove moisture content in the Carbon dioxide to make it useful for the Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding process. This product is also used extensively for curing of moulds in the foundry Industry.

The manufacturing facility was initially set up with a bottling capacity of Six metric tonnes per day of Industrial grade Carbon dioxide in liquid form. Over the years this capacity has been increased to twelve metric tonnes per day.
